Diagnostic Considerations

Conditions to consider in the differential diagnosis of subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE) include the following:

  • Dermatomyositis
  • Mycosis fungoides
  • Nummular eczema
  • Pityriasis rubra pilaris
  • Polymorphous light eruption (PMLE)
  • Plaque psoriasis
  • Sarcoidosis
  • Seborrheic dermatitis
  • Tinea corporis
