Volkmann Contracture Workup

Radiographs of the humerus, elbow, and forearm are useful for assessing the amount of displacement of supracondylar fractures and combined radial and ulnar fractures (see the images below). Nondisplaced supracondylar fractures rarely cause Volkmann contracture.
