Medication Summary

No proven medical therapy is available. However, a study by Foster et al found that atorvastatin at 20 mg, combined with vitamins C and E, is effective in reducing the risk of hepatic steatosis in healthy individuals with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease after 4 years of active therapy.[57]
