Workup

Laboratory Studies

  • A preoperative metastatic evaluation is performed in all patients prior to laparoscopic pelvic lymph node dissection (LPLND). It should include a PSA level.

Imaging Studies

  • Preoperative metastatic imaging evaluation prior to LPLND includes the following:
    • Chest x-ray film
    • Bone scan
    • Pelvic imaging with CT scan or MRI in some patients
