  • Burning feet syndrome

  • Neoplastic diseases

  • Neurologic diseases

  • Thyrotoxicosis

  • Diabetes mellitus

  • Hypoglycemia

  • Gout

  • Pheochromocytoma

  • Menopause

  • Febrile illnesses

  • Use of medications (eg, propranolol, physostigmine, pilocarpine, tricyclic antidepressants, venlafaxine)

  • Chronic alcoholism

  • Hodgkin disease

  • Tuberculosis

  • Eccrine nevus

  • Eccrine angiomatous hamartoma

  • Riley-Day syndrome (familial dysautonomia)
