Diagnostic Considerations

The most common consideration is atopic dermatitis, although sometimes distinction is needed from contact dermatitis, neurodermatitis, tinea corporis, dermatitis medicamentosa, and leprosy. [1] Dermatitis with scaling, ulceration, and edema with pigmentary changes on the legs may suggest a chronic stasis dermatitis.
