Further Outpatient Care

Patients should receive follow-up care from an ophthalmologist, with reevaluation every 6 months because true esotropia may develop.

Prognosis

The prognosis generally is good. No treatment usually is required for pseudoesotropia, and most patients outgrow their appearance.
