Of patients who experience sudden death syndrome, 23% had elevated levels of immunoglobulin E (IgE) in their sera, as well as elevated serum tryptase. [23, 24]

A case report of encephalopathy with movement disorder and catatonia was reported after a wasp sting. [25]

Rhabdomyolysis and acute kidney injury were reported after multiple wasp stings. [26, 27]
