Diagnostic Considerations

Problems to be considered in a patient with possible Fournier gangrene include the following:

  • Testicular fracture
  • Testicular hematoma
  • Testicular abscess
  • Scrotal abscess
  • Vasculitis
  • Warfarin gangrenosum
  • Polyarteritis nodosum
  • Granulomatosis with polyangiitis
