Diagnostic Considerations

In addition to the conditions listed in the differential diagnosis, other problems to be considered include the following:

  • Bronchiolitis

  • Coronavirus

  • Foreign body aspiration (if croup or bronchiolitis is present)

  • Pneumonia

  • Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)

  • Rhinovirus

  • Tracheitis
