  • Acute meningitides

  • Other motor polyneuropathies

  • Acute intermittent porphyria

  • Acute transverse myelitis

  • Acute encephalitides caused by coxsackievirus and echoviruses

  • Other enteroviruses (Coxsackie)

  • Flaviviruses (Japanese encephalitis, West Nile)

  • HIV neuropathy

  • Diphtheria

  • Borrelia burgdorferi infection

  • Botulism
