Other problems to be considered in the differential diagnosis of hemlock poisoning include the following:

  • Botulism

  • Nicotine (wild tobacco)

  • Golden chain (Laburnum anagyroides)

  • Strychnine

  • Cholinergic poisoning

  • Psychosis

  • Encephalopathy
