Class Summary

This agent is used to relieve significant bronchospasm.

Albuterol 0.5% (Proventil, Ventolin)

Used to relieve bronchospasm after diphosgene (DP) exposure. Beta-agonist for bronchospasm refractory to epinephrine. Relaxes bronchial smooth muscle by action on beta2-receptors with little effect on cardiac muscle contractility.
