Children affected by soy protein intolerance respond quickly to elimination of soy formula and introduction of a hydrolyzed protein formula.

Numerous therapeutic strategies have become to be investigated targeting foods that most frequently provoke severe IgE-mediated anaphylactic reactions (peanut, tree nuts, and shellfish) or are most common in children, such as cow's milk, soy, and egg.
