Medication Summary

Drug therapy is not part of the standard of care for mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) type III. Medications are used for symptomatic treatment, such as anticonvulsants for seizure activity.

Sedative medications and melatonin have been used to help patients improve their quality of sleep in conjunction with establishing a bedtime routine to foster rest. See Medical Care.
